CLASS FIELD TRIPS
Captivating stories, terrific music, wonderful performances, colorful sets and costumes—nothing compares to the way live theatre sparks the imagination! Sidekick Theatre's shows for young audiences are specifically geared for ages 4 and up and are a great way to introduce students to the fun and magic of live, professional theatre. Field trip performances for schools take place Monday through Friday.
Post-show Discussions
Our post-show discussions with actors, designers and directors provide audience members further information on topics in a production and foster stimulating conversation with those in attendance. They are free and open to the public.

DRAMATIC CONNECTION WORKSHOPS
If you’re attending a Student Field Trip performance we offer workshops to enhance the experience. Based on the study guides tailored to each of our productions, these workshops incorporate historical context, story structure and writing exercises. Workshops can be arranged for pre or post performance.
PLAYWRITING WORKSHOPS For Children & Adults
Sidekick Theatre’s mission is to promote education and literacy, social interaction, and cultural enrichment by engaging children and adults in high quality theatre arts. As a new-works focused theatre, playwriting is at the heart of Sidekick Theatre’s defining company identity. Along those lines we offer the following opportunities to share our experience with students of all ages.
Introduction To Playwrighting This is a single 90-minute workshop designed to inspire and empower students to write their own plays. This workshop takes place in a single classroom, for up to 30 students.
Playwriting Towards Production - 3 Workshop Series This is a series of three 90-minute workshops designed to lead students from inspired ideas to completed drafts of original plays. This workshop is for up to 30 students.
CREATIVITY, COLLABORATION, TEAM BUILDING WORKSHOPS For Children & Adults
Whether we come to your school or office, or you come to us, Sidekick Theatre offers a line up of fun and engaging workshops. Storytelling, speaking & listening skills, playwriting, team building & collaboration are the emphasis in these interactive workshops! These fun workshop will have students / workmates showing off skills they never knew they had! Utilizing exercises to encourage collaboration and problem solving, participants will experience the power of spontaneity. 90-minute for up to 30 participants.
