Meet the Cast

CAROLYN POOL (Maggie) has appeared at almost every theatre in the Twin Cities, as well as regional theaters across the country. Carolyn is the co-creator (with Shanan Custer) of the Ivey award winning show 2 Sugars, Room for Cream which most recently ran at the Andy Boss Stage at Park Square Theatre. Other notable work includes Almost, Maine at the Old Log Theatre, August; Osage County, Dead Man’s Cell Phone, and The Sisters Rosensweig at Park Square Theatre, Three Viewings, Bill W. and Dr. Bob and Autistic License at Illusion Theatre. Carolyn is also a performer for Penumbra Theatre’s RACE workshops and Pillsbury  House Theater, where she is an actor/mentor for the Chicago Ave. Project.

BRANDON EWALD (Frank) appeared as Hannay in Sidekick’s production of The 39 Steps earlier this summer. A Minneapolis native, he has acted with The Jungle Theater, Mu Performing Arts, Park Square Theater, Theater Forever, Minnesota Jewish Theater, Classical Actor’s Ensemble and The Chicago Improv Festival. He received his training at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, England, as well as at Augsburg College and the Brave New Workshop, both in Minneapolis.

TAYLOR BOLSTAD (Lynn) recently appeared as Chiffon in Sidekick’s production of Little Shop of Horrors. She began acting with her homeschool group when she was 7 years old, and at 14 began performing professionally around the Twin Cities, including the Old Log Theatre, Theater Garage and the History Theatre. When not on stage, she is training her horses. Later this year she is auditioning for an Equestrian Performance school in France where she hopes to bring her love of horses and theatre together.

BRIAN PEKOL (James) Originally from Rhinelander, WI, Brian has worked as an actor, music director and pianist since moving to the Twin Cities. Most recently, he appeared as Seymour in Sidekick’s production of Little Shop of Horrors. In the Twin Cities he appeared at the Old Log Theatre in Life Could Be A Dream, Almost Maine and A Year With Frog and Toad. He also served as Musical Director there for Life Could Be A Dream, Cowgirls and Freckleface Strawberry. A multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Brian has toured across the US and Europe, and worked extensively in numerous recording studios. brianpekol.com

TENA MAY GALLIVAN (Mrs. Kravitz) was born into a show biz family and has had no luck leaving her legacy behind, performing on stages throughout the Twin Cities and beyond as well as developing a career in voice-overs. She can be heard nationally on the television and radio. Tena May is also a Teaching Artist with Upstream Arts, teaching communication and social skills through the arts to individuals with disabilities. Plus, she teaches weight-lifting, so don't get on her bad side...

PAUL SCHOENACK (Andrei) appeared as Nunzio in Sidekick’s production of Over the River and Through the Woods. He first appeared on stage almost 60 years ago and since then has appeared in over a hundred productions in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and California. Most recently, he appeared Death of a Salesman at at Bloomington Civic Theatre, Witness for the Prosecution at Theater in the Round, The Gifted Program at Freshwater Theatre, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at Forgotten Goddess Productions and Romeo and Juliet Theatre Coup d’ Etat. He has also directed shows at The Lowery Lab in St. Paul, The Theatre Garage in Minneapolis, AAAA Theatre in Alexandria and The Barn Theatre in Willmar, MN. Paul lives in Maple Grove, MN with his wife, Eileen, and their incredibly spoiled dog, Snickers.
