Meet the Cast
DAVID BEUKEMA (NICK) is very excited to be working with Sidekick Theatre in their inaugural season! A Minneapolis native, he has been seen on many Twin Cities stages over the past few years. Some of his favorite recent shows include The Matchmaker (Girl Friday Productions), Twelfth Night (Theatre Pro Rata), The School For Lies (Park Square Theatre), An Ideal Husband (Walking Shadow Theatre Company), Beyond Therapy (Theatre In the Round), and Sunday In the Park With George (Bloomington Civic Theatre). David is a graduate of Otterbein College in Westerville, OH (BFA, Acting), and has worked on stages in Minnesota, Ohio, New York, and New Hampshire. He is very pleased to add Wisconsin to that list!
MARSHALL HAMBRO (FRANK) is appearing for the second time as Frank in this play. and has also performed in the role of Nunzio. Marshall’s Twin Cities credits include appearances at the Old Log Theatre, the Jungle, Minnesota Jewish Theater, Mystery Cafe, Old Arizona, the Jon Hassler Theater, the Illusion Theater and the Minnesota Fringe Festival. He was also part of a national tour of The Odd Couple that starred Jamie Farr and William Christopher from M.A.S.H. He wishes to thank Kathy and Ben for their help in getting him ready for this production!
DIANA WILDE (AIDA) is appearing for her second time as Aida in Over the River... She originally performed the role at Allenberry Playhouse in PA. Diana recently appeared as Polly Wyeth in Other Desert Cities for Bloomington Civic Theatre in the Twin Cities. Her other favorite roles include Aunt Eller: Oklahoma!, Vernadette: Dixie Swim Club (Allenberry Playhouse); Mavis Gilmore: Church Basement Ladies 2 (Crown Uptown Theatre), and Mrs. Vitale: Tony ’n’ Tina’s Wedding (Actors Theatre of Minnesota). Upcoming projects include Vivian in Church Basement Ladies 3 for the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, PA, and Miss Mona in Best Little Whorehouse... for Bloomington Civic Theatre. PAUL SCHOENACK (NUNZIO) first appeared on stage almost 60 years ago and since then has been in over a hundred productions in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and California. Most recently, he was in Death of a Salesman at Bloomington Civic Theatre, Witness for the Prosecution at Theater in the Round, The Gifted Program at Freshwater Theatre, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at Forgotten Goddess Productions and Romeo and Juliet Theatre Coup d’ Etat. He has also directed shows at The Lowery Lab in St. Paul, The Theatre Garage in Minneapolis, AAAA Theatre in Alexandria and The Barn Theatre in Willmar, MN. Paul lives in Maple Grove, MN with his wife, Eileen, and their incredibly spoiled dog, Snickers.
JANE HAMMILL (EMMA) and her husband, Wayne, have been coming to Bayfield for many years and love the area! She has acted in the Twin Cites at Park Square Theatre, Gremlin Theater, Starting Gate and Theater in the Round, to name a few. She is also an on- camera actress doing commercials for the MN Twins, Treasure Island Casino, Grand Casino, Iowa Lottery, Gunderson Hospital, Great Clips, and many more. She also appeared in The Coen Brother’s film, A Serious Man.
ELIZABETH EFTELAND (CAITLIN) is an actor currently based in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area, where her most recent productions include Detroit ’67 (Penumbra Theatre Company); 4000 Miles (Park Square Theatre); Twelfth Night (Chameleon Theatre Circle & Green T Productions); The Black Hand Side That Feeds You (broadcast on Jazz88FM); and Bottom, an original play about sex trafficking in Minnesota, with Blank Slate Theatre. Elizabeth received her BFA in Acting from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she received recognition for her portrayals of Coriolana in a gender-swapped version of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus and Medea in Euripides’ Greek tragedy. “Thank you to my family, friends, fellow artists, and especially to my wonderful grandparents — this one’s for you.”
